En pointe online: Bolshoi ballet for free (BBC, VIDEO)

Getting tickets to the best performances of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow has never been easy.

But now, thanks to internet, Russians will have the opportunity to view the famous ballets live from the comfort of their own homes.

Leonid Louneev reports.

Bolshoi Ballet, I believe is the correct spelling

by Roozbeh_Gilani on

Regardless, Bolshoi Theater and it's ballet company is not to be missed by any visitor to Moscow. I watched the swan lake ballet performance (for only $50) in 2006, when I was visiting Moscow. Worth every cent. I hope queen soraya enjoyed the performance as much as I did...

Russian's are so much more advanced than Iranians

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on

And they don't even have the instituios to create democracy for the people, just goes to show what a great country they are on the way to becoming, I have no doubt that in my life time they will enjoy democratic govt of the people.

It just goes to show how important it is to have a nation which can produce patriotic people as well as people that are not easily duped into democracy when the country is not ready for it or your everyday patsy.  Iranians intellectuals today are the real source of Irans problems, not this guy.
