Parliamentary candidate being challenged by his own base of supporters in a South Tehran Mosque before elections for the 9th Majles. It's Interesting how people now can speak and stand up for their rights and you see this is not the NEW GENERATION, these are the conservative middle class that now rising for their rights as an IRANIAN.

by This is Democracy (not verified) on Tue Apr 29, 2008 12:39 AM CDTWhen did something like this exist under the time of the Shah? I cant ever recall. yet we have some people talking about bringing freedom and democracy for iran, well this is it, however flawed, taking place everyday. in the very heart of the capital of the country. this is how we learn and grow. this doesnt look like a dictatorship at all to me. this is the FLOWERING OF democracy in the middle east, arab dictatorships should take notes, and US government that talks crap should see this too, not that they care though
