This person is using a group of Baseejis as protesters and another, supposedly students, as supporters to make himself famouse.
Remember those university students who protested against Ahmadinejad and called him a dictator? Are they still students?
Is Abbasi being groomed for a government position? Perhaps, a presidential candidate?
With his stature--this guy looks shorter than president Ahmadinejad--he may be Iran's next president.

One day he too will stand to trial for all his cruel acts.
