by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on Wed Apr 02, 2008 12:17 PM CDT...........specially hendone. You must have belong to the upper 10.000. you could have affored hendune allready on 13 bedar. As far as I remember the regular time to NOBAR hendune was late Khordad.
Joy vs sadness, mournful Islamic holidays:
1. Reviewing the messages from Iran I noticed that a huge nummber of Iranians have celebrated the 13bedar. That is for me a sign of the good economical situation and financial wellbeing of Iranians. So it is by no means the officials who are jealus about anything. Since the government is the one who promotes the wellfare and the wellbeing and prepares adequate Places for picnicing and makes it possibel to celebrate a real 13bedar.
2. It is scientifically prooved that mourning, specially in group, helps a lot to get a psychological equilibrium. Iranians and other moslems will keep these days and continue mourning in group annualy. Of course most of them do not know about the positive side effect of the mourning. But they feel much better after mourning and this is - so I think - their main motivation to celebrate also the mourning. Greeting

by Jahanshah Javid on Wed Apr 02, 2008 10:03 AM CDTSounds like every attempt is being made to justify 13 Bedar in a way that would not offend those who wish this beautiful tradition to die. Some are so jealous that Norooz and 13 Bedar are far more popular than mournful Islamic holidays :o)
