United Silent Cry of All Iranians on November 4

On November 4, 2009 (13 Aban 1388) there will be a massive silent demonstration in Tehran and other cities of Iran.

Also, Iranians around the world will gather wearing green in support of our brothers and sisters in Iran who have stood up so bravely for Democracy, Freedom and Human Rights.

I think, in the above video, the best slogans are "Independence, Freedom, Iranian Republic" and "Death to No-one," and the best photo is the one where a traffic sign shows Freedom Street and Islamic Republic Street going in opposite directions.

We shall overcome!

IRANdokht

it's finally clear to me :o)

by IRANdokht on

I was just watching IRTV sunday program and Alireza Nourizadeh explained that the green movement is using this occasion to show the world that Iranians do not want to celebrate the animosity with the rest of the world and extend a hand in friendship and peace. Apparently 13 Aban is celebrated by the regime every year as a refresher to their "death to America" policy and this year the demonstrators will be sending the people's real message.

Thanks Azadeh jan and Darius jan,

November 4

by Azadeh Azad on

You are welcome dear IRANdokht and Yolanda. Thank you dear Darius for expressing your noteworthy opinion and providing us with the info. on the significance of the date.

It is obvious that the Green Movement is using every single occasion, whether honourable or dishonourable as in this case, to have street demonstrations to assert their continual presence and weight.

Thank you

I loved the video. Thanks for the reminder of the Nov 4th rallies in Iran. What is the significance of the date? I heard it was the anniversary of Khomeini being exiled and also some said it's the anniversary of the students occupying the US embassy. I have not researched it myself yet. Either way, I am surprised that the monarchists are also sending out invitations for the occasion.

Thanks again

If You are Preaching UnityWhy So exclusive From the Start ? ...

by Darius Kadivar on

By Mentioning Republic you exclude the Constitutional Monarchists who also have their Say ...

Its Incredible How Much You Republicans Secular Or Not are Contradicting yourselves with such an Exclusive and intolerant behavior. Including by excluding others :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=och26QdEEF8

YOU NEVER GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT DO YOU ? !

For the Rest I am willing to demonstrate hand in hand including with my fellow compatriots who wish to have a Secular Republic with the following slogans :

Democracy, Freedom and Human Rights For Iran

But Please Stop Preaching from your High Horse as if you had the Moral Ground as Republicans ! ...

YOUR Revolution Was NOT Highjacked by Khomeiny, YOU Gave it to Him from the Start.

That You made a Poor Choice from the begining is not enough reason to claim that it was Highjacked ?

30 years of Your disastrous Republic doesn't give you the Right to downplay others with a different vision of a Future Democratic state on mind. The Choice of which form of democratic government/regime should be established in handsight should be democratically submited to the Peoples ultimate Decision.

That is a Behavior which is NOT EXCLUSIVE But DEMOCRATIC !

My Humble but FIRM Opinion too !
