Yes! That is right. Spring is just around the corner and Nourooz is almost here. Iranian Culture Club at San Francisco State University is proud to present its third annual Nourooz Celebration. We would like to invite you and your friends to our exciting party. Our special guest this year will be the stand-up comedian Maz Jobrani. He is not only extremely talented and funny, he is such a wonderfully warm Iranian, a very nice man. I'll be there Ala Jan. by Kamangir on Fri Feb 15, 2008 05:11 PM CSTIt's clear to me that the Iranian community in California ans San Francisco or LA is a very well stablished community with strong Iranian cultural centers. However, here in Vancouver, the large Iranian population differs a lot from what you are used to in California. The community here is not settled properly, with new waves of new comers (mostly from the tazeh be doran residegan sectors) of Iran, all you see around are concerts here and there. There's no cultural center, despite the fact the Iranian community here is very wealthy. I'm sorry if I'm sounding negative here, but I wish the Iranians here had more cultural inclinations instead of showing off their recently acquired wealth.
