Someone said there were 3000 people at the Persian Center in downtown Berkeley (northern California) last night to celebrate Charshanbeh Soori. Whatever the number, it was the largest I've ever seen. You couldn't find a piece of asphalt to stand on, let alone move around the dance. But we're Iranians... dance the night away we did! And I watched :o)

One of the funniest thing I witnessed was couple of hezbollahi girls with their hijab going crazy in the middle of the dance crowd, dancing like two crazy birds out of cage....funniest thing...

The only pictures that were missing were from the great food that was being barbecued in the back (kabab koobedeh, and joojeh kabob). Just wanted to clarify that in the picture I was briefing the police officers on chaharshanbesoori/Persian center and not being arrested.
