We went to the “Westwood Norooz Did o Bazdid” Sunday and took some pictures to show you how big the event was. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (first and second photo) and a few other Iranian and non-Iranian officials spoke and the US national anthem and Ey Iran were played. Shahin and Saeed Mohammadi were entertaining the crowd. There were people of all ages and all faiths peacefully and very merrily cheering them on. The happy mix of people celebrating this event didn’t go unnoticed by the Mayor who congratulated Iranians for being such wonderful, educated, peaceful and civilized group and as the city officials put it the most successful group of immigrants in US. 12 next › last »
