Moradi, Sharifi, Mohammadi: Prisoners of the day

Student activists Mohammad Moradi, Mojtaba Sharifi, and Erfan Mohammadi

Committee of Human Rights Reporters: On Monday, 28 May, the IRGC Intelligence Unit arrested three student activists at Isfahan University with the help of the University's Security Unit.

Mohammad Moradi, Mojtaba Sharifi, and Erfan Mohammadi (shown in photograph above) were arrested when they tried to distribute a banned student newspaper.

None of the imprisoned students have been allowed to contact their families. The IRGC Intelligence Unit contacted the family of one of the students.

At least five other Isfahan University student activists were summoned and interrogated by the IRGC's Intelligence Unit in connection with this case.

Mohammad Moradi is a Sociology student and editor of Toska student publication. Erfan Mohammadi, 21, is a Business student who worked on Toska, Takapoo, and Kebrit student publications. Mohammadi was first arrested on Student Day in November 2009, and was detained at Isfahan Intelligence Office for a short time. Mojtaba Sharifi is a philosophy student who, along with 11 others, was arrested on May Day 2010, and was later sentenced to 4 years and 5 months in prison, but his sentence has not been enforced yet.

Islamist Rapists

by Fred on

The only sane way to put a permanent end to 34 years of Islamist Rapist barbarism is regime change by Iranian people with logistical help from the free world.
While verbal support for the constantly growing legions of victims is a must, so is offering a way to end Islamist Rapist barbarity.

It is no wonder Islamist Rapists, their lobbies and gofers like the reactions limited to verbal form.

Airtight sanctions plus air/naval inspection is a must.
