Sima Eshraghi: Prisoner of the day

Five years imprisonment for "blasphemy"

RAHANA: Sima Eshraghi is a Baha’i citizen from Mashad, and mother of two young children.

Eshraghi was arrested on January 27, 2008 when Mashad security forces raided and searched her residence and transferred her to solitary confinement at Mashhad prison. Sima Eshraghi spent three months under very difficult conditions in solitary confinement without any contact with her family. She was temporarily released on $150,000 bail.

Eshraghi’s trial was held on October 30, 2009 in Mashhad. She was charged with “propagating against the regime," "acting against national security," and "blasphemy." Sima Eshraghi was sentenced to five years in prison.

Sima Eshraghi began serving her sentence one year later on October 24, 2010 when she turned herself in and was transferred to Mashad's Vakilabad Prison.

Younger generation of Iranians who admire the Western values, but are suffering under the islamic democracy that their previous generation opted for.
I believe that the Iranians will be better off if the said country was under the direct U.S. governance.
