Ayda, (pronounced eye-dah) was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden, and currently lives in the UK. She writes: "After having a lot of requests for me to sing this song, this is my cover of Adele - Rolling in the Deep. I hope you enjoy my version of it, I had a really nice crew who helped arrange everything and the process was great fun! Big thanks to Yildiz, Alev, Cigdem, Ufuk Gokkaya, Okur, Emrah Oruc & Firat Ayas for there contribution. Hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it!" >>> Ayda's YouTube channel

Not impressed with Ayda's cover...
by alchemista on Fri Feb 10, 2012 03:49 PM PSTSo many cover-versions, more than 350,000 according to this video....

My favorite is Connie Talbot's cover:

And still, nothing compares to the original in my opinion:

by Red Wine on Tue Feb 07, 2012 02:30 PM PSTI do not know much about Her but after listening her for 20 minutes i got one thing,Her voice reminds me American jazz singers, is a deep voice and hear well, she knows how to use it to his throat and that's a hard working and professional.
Who care if she is Iranian or not, only we care about her art and art dosn't have limits and border.
Thank you Ayda .
She's got it
by Jahanshah Javid on Tue Feb 07, 2012 11:27 AM PSTShe has a beautiful voice, beautiful face, and lots of talent and passion. This is just the beginning. She'll go far. I think!
I've translated this damn song two separate times
by Multiple Personality Disorder on Tue Feb 07, 2012 08:16 AM PSTI was going to to post the translation a while back when the song just came out, but I can't find either one of them, but if I ever do find either one of them I'll post it, or I'll translate it again for a third time. This is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard.
I actually like that
by Anahid Hojjati on Tue Feb 07, 2012 07:42 AM PSTAyda did her own version. Obviously Adele 's voice is unique so no sense of trying to sing it like Adele. I think Ayda did her own version and it was nice.
wowzer!
by afshin on Tue Feb 07, 2012 07:11 AM PSTWhere do I begin. She started ok and then switched to a country-western tone. Then she became so emotive, I thought she was going to start pulling her hair out. The performance was way over the top, and frankly I woud much rather hear Adele sing it. Here's an idea, may be she can do some cover songs for Lana Delray (wink, wink).
Adeles voice is so unique, she does not need extended eye-lashes
by radius-of-the-persian-cat on Tue Feb 07, 2012 07:02 AM PSTAdeles voice is so unique, she does not need extended eye-lashes.
I am sure Ayda will find her own style, but the songs of Adele I prefer to hear from herself, not as a cover-version.
nice performance from Ayda
