Anti-war protest in New York

Rally against possible attack on Iran

AFP: Hundreds of protesters demonstrated Saturday in New York and pacifist groups took to the streets in dozens of other US and Canadian cities in a "Day of Mass Action" against a possible war with Iran. About 500 protesters gathered in Manhattan's Times Square and marched to the headquarters of the US mission to the United Nations and to the Israeli consulate. "No war, no sanctions, no intervention, no assassinations," read a banner leading the march >>>

VPK if you have my post in mind...

by Disenchanted on

Thanks for stating the fact and same time MISSING the point of the post by a couple of miles!

The point was to ask how far the pro war and freedom lovers(!!) are willing to go to support the war. I was trying to get them to advocate even a nuke attack on Iran for sake of freeing Iranian people!

Saying that, are you really sure Bibi is a kind of person(animal) that would think twice about using them if he has no other means?!

Misinformation

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on

I read a ton of fear mongering  about use of nukes on Iran sites. Or putting people on camps and son on. But all the other wars did not involve any of this. USA has no need to use any of them and will therefore not do it.

Vast majority of Iranian Americans are law abiding . Therefore I got to agree with MK. There will not be any camps. America had wars with: Iraq; Afghanistan; Serbia; Vietnam; Korea and many others. There have not been any camps since WWII.

I prefer that anti war people use reason over hysteria. It is perfectly reasonable to oppose any war. But it is not reasonable to make outlandish claims to scare people. If there is a war the actual shootout will be short; conventional IRI has no hope.

just wait for body bags to come back to US! Then our pro war, freedom lovers really feel good saying I am Eye rainian in US! Start thinking about self employment as no one is gonna hire you folks! ;-)

The redneck down in S. Carolina really wouldn't give  ahoot that you are Shahi or Lefty or Sabzy or Jew or what! You are an eye ranian and out of luck! ;-)

If US pressures the IRI, we will be sent to concentration camps

by AMIR1973 on

The Great Satan is only looking for an excuse to send Iranian-Americans to the US version of Dachau. That is just one more reason we should oppose sanctions and make a "Grand Bargain" with the IRI.

He told me, Chris Nineham from Stop the War, had asked him to remove the photos he had posted which showed Iranian pro-democracy supporters had been attacked and he had rightly replied to Nineham "I am a photographer and not your bloody PR man".

Some of us care more about innocent Iranian people (including those in Evin prison for expressing their views) than those zealot, religious nuts in West bank stealing other people lands thinking GOD (Yahweh) has chosen them and given them such rights!

Aalbaloo khanoom: would it be too much to ask to produce banners and signs against No to warmongers in Iran, Israel, and US. WOuld it be too much to ask to have banners in that says,  No to religious Fascism (both IRI and MEK), No to Imperialism, No to theocracy, No to sexual apartheid ??

WOuld it be too much to ask if you made a sign that reads "Free political prisoners in Iran".

Would it be too much to ask for a sign to say No to US-backed reformers??

whose flag is at 1:10-1:17? Monarchist or MEK!

by MM on

The red/white/green flag at 1:10-1:17 with a lion/sun/sword has been a sign of the monarchists as well as the MEK.  However, I did not see a red/white/green flag with 2 bananas and a cucumber in the middle.

But, I did see yellow signs carried in the video.  Along with the flag, should I assume it was an MEK rally?

How about monarchists, where RP has said "do not attack my country".  If not an MEK rally, with RP's words and the flag around, then, it must be a monarchist rally, right?

Grow up peepel (w/ Maryam Rajavi accent): It is more probable that the IRI thugs would not be caught deal near a flag with a lion/sun/sword sign.  I, as well, would not stand with the MEK or the IRI thugs to demonstrate for anything (especially anti-war demos since they are hypocrits), but there is nothing wrong with not wanting war with Iran.  However, now we know where those 3percenters are hanging around.

I just learned that you are a member of NIAC.

From what I have seen so far, NIACies tend to follow Trita, his Redbook and copy and post his fatwas verbatim.

For an open-minded person like me who likes thin crust pizza with interesting toppings and not the Chicago-style deep dish, that poses a serious problem!

So I have to pass on your offer to order pizza from the camp.
