Gulistan - Danza Persiana

Persian motif dance from Italy

The action, that takes place in an imaginary rose garden, is included between poetry of Omar Khayyam and Francesco Petrarca (Rerum Vulgarium Fragmenta 246). Opening and conclusion music by Stefania Piccioni. Central Choreography is a Persian inspired dance piece based on one of Khayyam's quatrains from Rubʿayyāt. The mystical symbology of rose and maiden inspires the first section, the second is dedicated to the Saki (wine-server) and the poet-lover. Music reinterpretation of Reng-E Dashti by Hossein Omoumi and Madjid Khaladj. Dance: Silvia Argurio >>> www.arcodiartemide.it
