Team Melli can really use a finisher like him. Although he plays in a "Golabi" league, but finding the back of the net is a talent that not every forward is blessed with.

The Iranian coach was in Europe recently and saw both Gucci and Dejagah (Volfsburg, Germany) in person. Both of these players can score and Iran needs a scorer up front. Hopefully, they will join the team for the games against Bahrain (Nov. 11th) and Indonesia (Nov. 15th). Both games are away games. Indonesia just naturalized 6 Dutch and Nigerian players so the team will be much stronger.

The problem with both our players seems to be military service in Iran. So we are back to the same old problems with the Regime.

 

Here is Nekounam's goal from Sunday (the third goal), one of the best headers that I have ever seen. After the goal he paid a tribute to Masoud Shojai who has been injured and has had 5 operations so far.
