World is one

The world is all one and we are all in it together. I do not know what Israel is doing. But I do know that the world is connected and there is no "sovereign" nation. People have been interfering with things from beginning.

i do not have answers for all your questions.

i also am not doing a body count. the horrific rapine and mass fratricide in iran has no parallel, just as the holocaust had no parallel. just as no human has a parallel. if one is killed a whole world is killed. it is atrocious, like the other cases you mention, and others neither of us mention.

but believe me israel is not 'staying away' from this merely because it will 'look bad' or is 'unpopular'. that's obama's speciality. but let's not go there. he is idolized by everyone because people confuse the need for a leader with the need for someone to love. and because his opposite number is frightening to contemplate (?palin? what next?).

i wish israel, iran, the palestinians, and other troubled nations will do their homework and clean up their internal affairs and really and earnestly wake up to the realities of this world.

a propos, i will try to keep away from the political affairs of other regions, i have enough to be dissatisfied about in my local cesspool. if i stay on icom, it will be for cultural stuff.

Compare 20 million to 6 million. Ok, the Holocaust was unique in the useof gas chambers and inhumane killing but murder is murder whether it is 6 million in 8 years or 20 million in 33 years.
What you are saying is that the lessons of the Holocaust 'Never Again' is not learnt. So it should have been up to the international Jewish community to raid into Auschwitz? The international community should do nothing when hundreds and thousands of Bosnian Muslims ard ethnically cleansed. Israel is a great country and it will always be reviled no matter what it does and even if they allow Palestinains to return or give away land. Taking a stand is not popularity contest and takijg tough decisions which will lead to the liberafion of Iran whilst stoping Hezbollah worth the price of being unpopular.

i agree that people outside iran should keep the iri atrocities in the news and give moral support.

but i must reiterate than interference by countries like israel would just set back progress even more for your beloved country and its people, which many here also admire. in fact the whole linkage with the 'jewish problem' the 'zionist problem' is going full circle to the iri-copyrighted ghaza/lubnan trap which i'm sure people like simorgh would not espouse. -- leave that to the self-destructive and recalcitrant messmakers in the israel/palestine arena.

indeed the killing of young brave iranians is in outrageously high numbers is creating a brainocide, for not better word, and traumatizing the people and splitting them apart, because it is being done by themselves against themselves. and as equally horrific, in that sense it cannot be compared with the mass murder committed by another fascist regime 60 years ago against an 'other'. for this and other reasons, i still think the light at the end of this dark dark time will be lit at home.

I'm all for an Iranian style Mossad taking out Ahmadinejad's henchmen one by one like Golda Meir's assassination team during Black Septmber but there isn't one. Mention the work MEK and you will be treated as an outcast in Iranian society. I am sorry but Iranians are being killed at a rate of 8 per hour which roughly translates to 20 million people dead in 33 years after failed diplomacy and carrot and stick policy. Iranian pride dictates that this is for Iranians to resolve this issue but every insurrection is quashed with prisons and graveyards littered with corpses of young Iranians struck down in their youth. Iran needd outislde help otherwise it would be like me saying the Holocaust was a Jewish problem and it was a Jewish problem resolve, not the British and Americans who liberated Belsen and other Nazi death camps. We live in a globalised world where no.country can be an isolationist. It is Israel's business to interfere: the Ofel scandal confirms your government's greedy underhand dealings with the Terror Regime for the last 30 years starting with Marc Rich. You think Israel and the Americans can walk out of this mess after nourishing this evil regime you created which has killed more Iranians than the Holocaust killed Jews? We are in this together. If not for Iranians then for innocent Israelis that have been killed by this Terror you have both directly and indirectly supported. Don't like it? Then don't support terror regimes.

This cancer called IRI growing in our nation MUST only be cured by Iranian people, if they ever wish to live a healthy life.
Only the awareness, moral support and condemnation of IRI criminal act can and should to be supported by the outsiders.

but i can't help commenting. i think nobody should even vaguely hope for an 'israeli resolution to this problem'. there is no such thing. this must be solved by iranians. not americans or israelis or anyone else. 

it is an utterly embarrassing fiasco, probably stemming from the most mundane crooked 'for profit' interests, nothing to do with nuclear or regime change fantasy undercover operation.

Israeli commando units

The nuclear facilities are not the problem it is the regime itself. I would support a covert Israeli commando team conducting a target assassination campaign.inside the regime. I am hopeful of an Israeli resolution to this problem as the world sits on the fence.

Damage control by the Israelis

Impossible!  There are port crews present at all times.  It would have been impossible for helicopters to come out of containers while the ship was docked at port, fly into Iran, land back into containers and for the ships to sail back to Israel.

This is damage control by the Israelis.  They were caught with their pants down (just like the IRI) and are now trying to make it sound as if they were not really wheeling and dealing with the mullahs, but were rather conducting "operations."   

The story seem really far fetched to be true

To conceal them to be brought into Iran is one thing but to pull them out, get them operational, fly them and to get them out is another story, one that belong to comic book or James Bond type movies.

However, true or untrue

This only present a shining example of Israeli warmongering attitude in the region that resembles only of Saddam & co. and it ought to be condemn strenuously by the world and its own citizen.

I was wondering how many ships like this are docking in Iran? Just one ship? a flotilla? an armada?
