The French protest, last year, was more innovative

"French women cause a stir in niqab and hot pants in anti-burka ban protest"

"Two French female students have made a film of the pair of them strolling through the streets of Paris in a niqab, bare legs and mini-shorts as a critique of France's recently passed law."

Yes, please take to the streets and protest, oh mellat-e qahramaan-e Iran! I am angry for my penis having to get an erection each time I see a woman show a thread of her hair in the baghaali.

And Im tired of 2 hour sighehs. They charge too much! Those half-brained walking holes.

Oh, it's Azaan time. Time to go to namaz. Hayyo allassalaah...

We have all sort of rallies in Iran.

Men wearing chadors, men wearing make up, transvestites etc. etc.

Who said there is no freedom in Iran?

This is pretty cool stuff.

You can't imagine the kinds of street rallies I've seen here in Esfahan over the years. You really can't.

Benyamin

I agree this is pretty tame

They must all be full.

As far as I know in Islam, men are not suppose to look at any woman directly! I wonder how those guys know there is "bad hejaabi" in their society?

They must not be good muslims.

Remove Chador!

by fussygorilla on

I applaud a great deal of progress and acheivement that the Iranian regime has made for Iran, in the past 20 years or so.  Particularly the outstanding fact that about 70% of University students and graduates in Iran are women. Women are members of parliament, Ministers in government, uncounted numbers of physicians, engineers, professors, scientists, researchers, bankers, and are present in all administrative and professional institutions. But, and here is a very big But for me, as a woman, the Chador and compulsory uniform (overcoat, scarf, and slacks) should be abandoned. A minimum standard of decent clothing (unlike the vulgarity in dress of women in the Pahlavi era) must be maintained.  In particular I find the Chador disgusting and ugly.

You can't imagine the kinds of street rallies I've seen here in San Francisco over the years. You really can't.
