OK, let me correct myself

Thanks AmirParviz, let me correct myself.

"The unfairness of it all is that all those who manage the country come from the 29%."

the country.  Since the 1970's the country hasn't seen any progress, peace or human rights for the nation.

The unfairness of it all is that it is the 29% that manages the country.

What nobody says about the 71%

by Shifteh Ansari on

What nobody says about the 71% in the cities now is that Iran's agriculture has been completely destroyed. Villages and farms have been abandoned because their farmers could not survive competing with out of control imports in the hands of the IRGC and greedy government affiliates. The Iranian industry, likewise, has been destroyed, due to imports and unfair competition with Sepah subsidiaries and friends. Everything is imported and the only place people can try to get some kind of livelihood is in the cities now.

The good news is that though more Iranians are having sex, fewer of them are having babies, no matter how much Mahmoud and Khamenei encourage them to have bigger families. The 1.3 population growth rate is really impressive.

What he forgot to add about the 71% of population in the cities;

by Hooshang Tarreh-Gol on

All major cities are dying under smog and air pollution; yesterday Isfahan had to close schools and colleges for two days: in Tehran the monthly death rate due to smog is 34. As far as the non-major cities, they  are all, the least equipped to deal with the most basic necessities. It's no exaggeration to say that Iran is, or could be on the verge of an environmental disater, with zero state planning to combat it. Come to think of it, in IR the state is actually creating some of the enviornmental disaters. In  more than one way the real bomb in Iran is this population of  75,000,000.

It is good to see that Iranians are good at some basic but vital tasks!
