Rick Perry=Khomeini
by vildemose on Sun Aug 14, 2011 08:13 AM PDTMore on Rick Perry, possible future President of the US:
Finally, one should judge a man by the company he keeps. The Texas Observer’s article on The Mainstream Media’s Shallow Coverage of the Response reports on how the Response rally’s speakers called for the conversion of the Jews. The Texas Observer article on Rick Perry’s Army of God further reported on the organizers of the rally that included many individuals who belong to a bizarre Christian extremist fringe movement called the New Apostolic Reformation that is almost too strange to describe. Oh, he has other friends as reported by Salon in Rick Perry’s Confederate Past which includes the neo-Confederate movement – those who defend and champion the racist Confederacy. America needs to get to know Rick Perry in the way that those of here in Austin, Texas know him.

I wonder
by azadi5 on Sat Aug 13, 2011 09:52 PM PDTif he has ever heard of the Pope.
And yes, christanity had its Khomaneis too, prior to renaissance which was some 600 years ago. Unfortunately we are in pre-renaissance era in Iran, and moving backwards
What a nutcase !
by Rea on Sat Aug 13, 2011 05:40 PM PDTX-tianity has enough of its own nutcases, no need to add.
However. We lived Khomeini and his likes in the middle ages, that's the difference btwn.
PS. only understood the title, but enough.
He has half a dozen
by Arj on Sat Aug 13, 2011 05:22 PM PDTHe has half a dozen audiences. Whereas, back in the pre-1979 time a sermon by an Ayatollah of his calibre (regardless of its nature) would bring in hundredsds (and scores more standing bhind Hosseiniehs' doors just to catch a glimpse of the guy)! Perhaps there is hope for Iran after all!
PN: don't be so
by vildemose on Sat Aug 13, 2011 05:22 PM PDTPN: don't be so sure.
Khomeini was just reincarnated in Rick Perry and Michel bachamn, a reconstructionist...
Lord help us all when someone who might be president has a supposed direct connection to God. The key to understanding a**hats like Bush and Perry is that they have blind faith in themselves. Which means that whatever pops into their head has to be good and pure. What it really amounts to is incredibly lazy intellectually. You see, if you have blind faith in yourself, you don't have to put one ounce of effort into thinking or doing anything. Everything that comes out of your mouth is good and pure because you have a direct connection to God. Scary stuff; both Michele and Rick Perry..

I dare say...
by پندارنیک on Sat Aug 13, 2011 04:51 PM PDTChristianity has historically had its share of Khomeinism, so to speak.........Saying that Khomeini lacked a bit of today's Christianity seems more fitting........
