Row breaks out over control of Azad open universities

BBC: A row has broken out over attempts by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to control Iran's biggest university. Supporters of Mr Ahmadinejad protested outside parliament on Tuesday after MPs voted down a bill to replace several board members of Azad University. Parliament speaker Ali Larijani has denounced the protests, reportedly calling them "ugly and vindictive". Correspondents say the battle for control has revealed new divisions within the country's leadership. Azad University, a private institution, has 1.5 million students and billions of dollars in assets >>>

Per the "No Fear" Command

by Demo on

I listened to myself. Not only my voice was unpleasant I discovered that by calling myself "No Fear" , making an icon from a "bum", and calling others names did not not bring me the "inner peace."

PS: With all these "Bums" in "Maghz-less" why do we need to have a Nuclear "Bomb??"

It is amazing how much processing power

by oktaby on

you are using on analyzing this horse manure. Apparently, your hi IQ has got you to the logical conclusion of supporting AN. Of course, from long distance since this utopia is not quite good enough for you to live in.

Since it is not worth your time stop commenting repeatedly and adding verbal nonsense and bragging to the audio-visual disgrace.

No Fear

Listen to yourselves ...

by No Fear on

While one yankee boot licker suggests the use of a cruise missile over our parliament, another one suggests they they battle in a death match!

Thank you all for your raw outpouring of emotions. Its wonderful to witness such creative solutions offered where logical thinking has failed you over and over due to a limited brain processing power.

Simply put, you are dumb and a blessing to IR as its enemy.

Not worth my time, really.

fooladi

and did I read some one here decribing these monkey as "MP"??

by fooladi on

In which case letter "M" should stand for "madar". How about letter "P"? cant think of any appropriate words, but I was brought up peoperly you know :)

With any critical voice silenced, dead or in prison.....

by fooladi on

How should our in house political theoricians and wishy washy, lefty, liberally press and academia would characterise this? let's guess: " An struggle between the conservative, Conservative and reformist conservative wings of isramic republic", or something like that!

Whilst we all know that murderers and looters of the iranian nation's oil wealth are now fighting between each other over the loot. In any event,  bloody good riddance, let the bastards kill each other.

Zahre taraf ke koshte shavad, soode Iran ast :)

Who believes this farce?

by Irani Irani on

I love how these events are reported as if they are occurring in a democracy. The Majles is a pseuo-Parliament and Ahmadi a pseudo-President. Not one of those people would be in power if the Leader had wanted them gone or if he was not a rabid Khomeinist. That's your IRI phoney democracy for you: basic rights are denied, opponents are murdered, and fanatical loyalty to the Number One Killer of Iranians, i.e. Khomeini and his successor, is an absolute prerequisite.

No Fear

Not one good reason was mentioned

by No Fear on

Three anti ahmadinejad MPs were trying hopelessly to justify their highly questionable votes. You could hear two of them were saying that if we made a mistake, let the guardian council fix it and we will obey it.

Its truely a contradiction that in a democratic way , the majlis MPs voted for an undemocratic solution , while an undemocratic body ( Gaurdian council ), has to fix this mess to defend justice. One ( Majlis ) took the right steps ( voting ) for the wrong answer while the other ( Guardians ) took the wrong steps to the right answer ( If the guardian council over rules the majlis law ). At the end of the day, we have both lost.

Recently the head of Guardian council ( Janati ) has harshly criticized Ahmadinejad's " Hejab " policies. It will be interesting to see whether this council swings to the left or right. I am guessing the law would be over ruled and the Guardians would side with Ahmadinejad.  But it could also go the other way since there are so many legal loop holes in this issue.
