Rafsanjani purchased Arms from the United States in what is called the Iran Conta Affair in history.

Ahmadinejad has visited the United States more than any other Iranian President after the Iranian Revolution.  His visits happened after the President Bush speech on the axis of evil.

Snub or no snub, these 2 guys are playing for the same government.

They both support the theocracy.

Rafi proved to be just full of gas.  He practically has no power.  He is not even capable of defending himself and his family members againt accusations pouring from the AN's camp.  And who is behind AN? Right, Mr. Rahbar!  He can not stand up to Khamenei.  He is pretty much done and out.

Ahmadinejad was also ignored by Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the IRI founder. He seems to have become a quiet but major force against Ahmadinejad and Khamenei.
