Cycling for Human Rights

Toronto & NewYork cyclists, we need your support!

www.cyclingforhumanrightsiniran.org: Come out and support your fellow cyclists, and stand in solidarity with the people of Iran. Join us for a 13 Kilometer ride in Toronto on Saturday, September 19th 2009. 1:30pm. CHRI Toronto bike ride. Starting at: Hart House Circle, University of Toronto. 7 Hart House Circle, Toronto, M5S 3H3

Wed. 23 September, 10:30am. CHRI NewYork bike ride. Starting at columbus circle, entrance of central park.

This ride is an initiative to send off those cyclists who are beginning their journey to New York City for the UN General Assembly on September 23rd. Since Mr. Ahmadinejad will be addressing the UN, by cycling a four-day journey to New York City, we intend to draw attention to the widespread and systematic human rights abuses that have, and still continue to take place in Iran.

We ask you to join us for the beginning of this momentous journey in Toronto to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran and condemn the violation of human rights worldwide. It is our global responsibility to unite for this important cause and show the world our opposition against violations of human rights.

We would like to use this opportunity to thank Solidarity with Iran colleagues for being the main organizers of the Saturday Departure Day event at the University of Toronto. You have gone the extra miles to support us and we will cycle the few hundred miles to NYC on your behalf too. Thank You!
