I have to say that all those participating in this hunger strike are very brave and admirable. But one person risking more than the most attendance and that is Googoosh!

She has been an iconic figure in our pop culture for the past 40 years and even when she was living her life in her own privacy and doing what she could do as an ordinary citizen, yet paparazzis didn`t leave her alone!!! yes Iranian style paparazzi. I was in Iran when a wedding video circulated under ground style because she attended that same wedding, I also remember I didn`t see the bride in that video because the camera was zoomed on her.

Today, she is attending a hunger strike. Today she is with the people of Iran and I know it in my heart that she is not in it for the Mullahs or Islamists but for the youth and women and whomever that has been hurt or any unjust act has been forced upon them by the IRI. So i give her alot of credit, and add that if this whole movement goes south (like the revolutuion did 30 years ago) she may suffer the most out of everybody else in that group which are in hunger strike. Because simply she would be the easiest target.

So, Ms. Googoosh my hats off to you and I admire you and your courage. You are the same age as my mother and she addores you, I think she(my mother) is 2 months older, don`t ask me how I know.

In that case I'll start mine the day after tomorrow. Still have have to ransack the fridge , waste not and all that.

I'm actually a great contender, since I did go on hungerstrike at the age of four!

You made me laugh .... no you would not get sectioned for going on this hunger strike. I promise!! Mental health social workers approved under the Mental Health Act and I am one, will only section people who's life is in danger because they havent the mental capacity to judge what is life threatening, You are safe!

I dont know where you got that information .... but it is completely wrong. Go ahead and do it. Im starting mine tomorrow.

amazing! I inquired about this in Britain, and apparently one gets shlepped off and sectioned. How does this really work?
