Hassan Nemazee

Political fundraiser released on bail

Bloomberg: Hassan Nemazee, chairman of Nemazee Capital Corp. and a fundraiser for President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, was freed on $25 million bail after spending a night in jail on a bank fraud charge. Nemazee, 59, walked out of Manhattan federal court today accompanied by his attorney, Marc Mukasey. He must remain in his $20 million Manhattan apartment, where he’ll be subject to electronic monitoring. Nemazee was charged yesterday with using phony documents to trick Citigroup Inc. into lending him as much as $74 million. The financier got the loan by telling Citibank he held accounts with hundreds of millions of dollars that could serve as collateral, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said yesterday in a statement >>>

It was not a surprised that

It was not a surprised that He's out of jail. Ordinarily, Hassan Nemazee could be seen as either another bogus rich kid who couldn't keep legit, or a success story that went horribly sideways.  Hassan Nemazee, an Iranian born and Harvard educated entrepreneur, was
just arrested for trying to defraud Citigroup of $74 million, by falsifying accounts, and could face up to 30 years. He was Chairman of Nemazee Capital, an investment firm, and is the son of Mohammed Nemazee, who founded Nemazee Hospital in Shiraz, and by association, Shiraz University in Iran.  He was highly successful in business and active in many philanthropies, as well as a top fundraiser and donator to the Democratic Party.  Hassan Nemazee won't likely need debt settlement relief, but he'll need a
good lawyer.

About time this traitor met his destiny.  he is a mullah lobbyist. He was instrumental in setting up various questionnable foundations and support US politicians to appease the mullahs.  His corrupt practices runs the gamut.  Hopefully Trita Parsi and other chracters will face the same destiny.  Thank you FBI!

Involved in Mullah Money Laundering?

by masoudA on

I won't make a judgement on him - but if he was involved - he must be an idiot.   Borrowing $76 million from BofA on a flight to Rome!!!?   The reporter asks: It is even more important to ask the equstion what he intended to do with the money.   That is in fact the most important Q.

Also - This is not about Obama - it is about the mullah network in USA.  Fact remains the mullahs do have a money circulation/laundry network in USA and Europe - and anyone who lives in the west and did not know authorities would look into it the money trail - are either too greedy or just plain idiots.  Remember when Ahmadinejad said IRI has 20,000 operatives in USA?  USA can't afford to take that lightly.  I foresee and hope for many more arrests to come.
