Iranian version of Anti-drug video..

by yolanda on

When I watched the Iranian version of the video for the 1st time, it made me jump literally, specially the smashing noise!!! I just hope this video will stop people from doing drugs, but not "subconsciously" encourage people doing vandalism ! In general, I like both videos, both can get people's attention and get the message out! The message is universal: drugs are bad! I believe IRI, USA, PRC, and UK all agree that drugs are baaaad!! Don't even start it!

I love you all!  :)

oldies!

The american version might be a little more effective but the persian version is funnier!  Wonder what drugs makes you do all that?  :-)

Bottom line, whatever it takes to get the message to the young folks... DON'T START.

They have used the same script that is used in US to film the Iranian version.  I hope the message is conveyed and those who have not started using drugs think twice before starting.

I remember that one in the US, during the 1980s. It had a huge impact. "This is your brain on drugs" even became kind of a joke expression whenever somebody did something stupid :)

It came out when the US was in the middle of a huge crack coccaine epidemic.

I agree with Yolanda that the Iranian version seems a bit too violent. It was the quiet intensity of the original that made it so effective, in my opinion.

Same message, but different magnitude..

by yolanda on

The Iranian version is a little too violent for me, it reminds me of something else (happened recently) . I think people know what I am referring to. Sorry maybe I am just over-sensitive and have egg-shell personality! Thank you for the 2 clips.

This is the best way to let people know what using drugs does to them and their lives.

Great Job. If there is still someone out there who after watching this will resort to using drugs he or she deserves whatever happens to them. Plain and simple.
