I'd like to nominate Osar nominee Kami Asgar and his family as Iranians of the day. Kami is nominated for an Oscar for best achievement in sound editing for Mel Gibson's film "Apocalypto." Asgar was also noiminated for an emmy for Outstanding Individual achievement in sound editing for Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman in 1993. He was also nominated for a Golden Reel award by the prestigious Motion Picture Sound Editors association for Best Sound Editing in Domestic Features-Dialogue & ADR for another Mel Gibson Film, "The Passion of the Christ" in 2004.
