While spending this summer in Iran I convinced my cousin Reza that we should take a road trip. Our trip would take us from Tehran to Shomal where we would spend a few days on the Caspian Sea. We followed the Caspian coast line to Astara where we would pass through Ardabil and go on to Tabriz. From Tabriz we went south to Hamadan and Kermanshah. I somehow convinced Reza to brave the 120 degree weather so I could see Abadan, the city where my parents met. From Abadan we would conclude our trip in Shiraz. -- Sharven Taghavi
