story on a strategically important country which
major western companies find increasingly intriguing. Focusing
on the
network and the influence of the powerful Rafsanjani family,
this report sheds light on the corruption of the establishment
(or a
part of it) and the opaque procedures that foreign countries
have to undergo to invest in Iran. Foroohar interviewed many players,
including the Rafsanjani family, and observers from both inside
the country and abroad to gather wide- ranging information.
