Iran rejected on Wednesday a request by Canada to allow its observers
to attend the trial of an intelligence agent charged with the 'semi-intentional
murder' of a Canadian journalist Zahra Kazemi, prompting Ottawa
to withdraw its ambassador to Tehran in protest [News].
Canadian Foreign Minister Bill Graham, slamming what he said was
'completely unacceptable
behavior' by Iran, said Ottawa had been promised that three Canadian
