Nostalgia   Write for The Iranian Editorial policy Music Behrad writes, February 9, 2002: Assadolah Malek was an accomplished violinist who was also responsible for many of Golpa, Mahasti, and "asseel" songs of years gone by... When I say "responsible," I mean he composed, conducted, and even played his violins for his songs. Malek passed away, I believe a couple of weeks ago in Iran. I believe the cause was cancer. They held a WAKE/MEMORIAL here in Los Angeles in his honor. NO ONE had his picture, at least of this quality, to put in the magazines announcing his death!
