ON TECHNOLOGY & URBAN DEVELOPMENT , June 18 - 21, 2001, Isfahan, Iran
The Society of Iranian Professionals (SIP), in collaboration with Isfahan's
Office of Mayor and Isfahan University of Technology, is proud to organize
a conference on "Technology & Urban Development" in Isfahan,
Iran.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of the conference is to facilitate exchange of expertise
and know-how in areas of Technology and Urban Development. This conference
will provide contact and will help identify short term, and long-term technology
needs in Iran.

SCOPE
Municipalities are increasingly being called upon to take greater responsibility
for local development and growth. A critical role for local governments
is to take advantage of explosive growth of high technologies to fulfill
this responsibility. This conference is a venue for discussion of applications
of various areas of high technologies in urban development. These areas
include but not limited to:

LANGUAGE
The official language of the conference is Persian and English. Persian
is, however, highly recommended especially when the presentation materials
are in English.
IMPORTANT DATES
* Deadline for submittal of abstracts March 1, 2001
* Notification of acceptance March 16, 2001
* Final abstract and submission of the presentation materials May
1, 2001
* Conference dates June 18- 21, 2001
COSTS
Local transportation, lodging and meals are provided for paper presenters.
The presenters or their sponsors will pay for costs of travel to and from
Iran.
