TEHRAN, Iran (Reuters) -- Bayern Munich beat Persepolis Tehran 2-1 in a controversial friendly held in the Iranian capital on Friday. Michael Ballack and Paulo Guerrero scored first-half goals for the Germans. Bayern claimed that the match had nothing to do with politics, but Iran's sports chief said it was an important political statement.
