In response to Samira Mohyeddin's "The gulf wars":

This article reflect the lak of knowlede of the writter regarding the name of persian gulf The writter sounds like one of those Iranian (or Iraqi or Lebanese Shi'ite) religious who think to be Muslem one has to love the Arabs and leave them to do what ever they wish to do against our heritage he think defending the name Iran or Persian Gulf will harm her Islamic unity. She is to be reminded that if there is nothing in a name, then she should write and criticise the Arabs for playing with names for political and racist reasons and should stop them from destroying Islamic unity by trying to change historical names of geographical places whereas there is nothing in a name. She should be reminded of the fact that in this context we Iranians are on the defence.

The offencive Arabs who spent a lot of money to spread racism and hatered to stablish a racist name are to be criticised for wasting money that is very necessary for construction and irradication of 70 million uneducated illiterate person in arabs world and we must not blame or criticises those who defend their heritages .the heritage are to be respected according to at least 15 international convention and international law for your information we need to infor you that you WILL NEVER FIND EVEN a single book or map, document or any written or oral things in any language in all OVER the world BEFOR 1950s to refer to this body of water as arabian gulf?

But Historical and unique name of The Persian Gulf and its equivalents in different languages has been continuously in used since 3000 years ago in all languages, cultures, and all civilizations throughout the centuries and across the world. More than 2000 ancient literatures, books and maps belong to the past three millenniums, which contains this historical and heritage name are proof to the Persian Gulf as a right nomenclature. even all Arab books, document, scholars up to the 1960s have also referred to the body of water

As its ancient name "Kahleej-al-Faris" (Persian Gulf)see the the Atlas of The (Persian) Gulf in Historic Maps 1478-1861 published in sharje 1991 by sultan mohammad al ghasmi 1/01/1999 and the book "etefaghat seyasy eghtesadi 1806 up 1970 betwen arabs and british by alimohammad al rashed published in UAE there you will find more than 30 treaties had mentioned khaleej fari (persian gulf)

It was in 1952 after confiscation of British Petroleum properties by Iranian government that false and politically motivated title of Arabian Gulf was suggested by BP. then it was Roderick Owen (a British member of BP whom for the first time put this suggestion in his book The Golden Bubble of the Arabian Gulf, That was later imitated by some Arab extremists and fanatic leaders in the region Distorting and denomenclature of the Persian Gulf name is not only an illegal and injustice act but also insult to the history and overall heritage of mankind

Persian Gulf, has been recognized as the real and rightful nomenclature not only by all ancient and past writers and civilized nations but also by all modern international organizations. you can consult 1- United Nation 2- UNCSGN-United Nation Conference on Standardization of Geographical Names.

Distorting and Converting the historical name by a new racist and politically motivated name is an illegal .unconventional, breach of international laws and in contrast to the resolutions of the UNGEGN and UN Conferences on the Standardization of Geographical Names and against heritage of mankind.
