Poignant felicity
From "Persian Pomegranates- A Young Poet's Soliloquy"

She spread her smile

With her poignant felicity

And captivated today and tomorrow

Could I only hold on

To the angles of her lips

And lighten my heart

In the soft cushions of her hope

She reached out a "come"

Came and left footsteps on my heart

Filled with tears and kisses

I want to drag her in my soul

Cling on to every thread

Of her flesh and bone

So that in my body and being

I will carry her name and scent to my grave

My mother, my love, my Iran
