The Philadelphia Museum of Art hosted its second annual Norooz celebration this year on March 11th. The free event included a display of Sofreh Haft Sîn, the ceremonial table of the Persian New Year, a screening of children's cartoon Babak & Friends: A First Norooz, and workshops for children to create Norooz-inspired crafts. The DC-based Silk Road Dance Company wrapped up the day by dazzling visitors with their dances, costumes, stories, and music in three sold-out shows.
