OvissiIn the world of Iranian art, few names stand out so prominently as Nasser Ovissi. His work, spanning four decades, is well-known and highly regarded not only among Iranians but also in American and European art circles.

Ovissi, who has made Virginia his home since the early 1980s, has built his remarkable success on two simple principles: portraying beauty as a universal truth while staying true to one's cultural roots.

The following samples are from "Ovissi", a collection of his work published in 1988 by Editorial La Gran Enciclopedia Vasca, Spain.
