We are all silenced

By powers beyond God

Powers whose monies in the name of God

Have bought the world

As the world watches the massacre day by day, hour by hour

Even our loudest screams

Songs

Walks

Are dwarfed by bombs pounding homes, children, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters

We walk to our homes knowing of those displaced

By powers beyond God

Powers that purchased God

The day He was for sale

Under the shadow of olive trees

Under the scorching sun

And bought by the highest bidders

In their blue suits, white shirts,  red ties and hands

In the name of preservation, land, religion,

And in God we trust

We know this will end

Sooner or later

Or maybe not

And those dead will be reduced to numbers

Their stories forever lost

Or maybe not

And those displaced will return

Or maybe not

And the Buyers of God will face their fate

Or maybe not

For we forget

The Buyers write our histories

Or maybe not
