Ultimate concerns
Photo essay: Inner child

By Azadeh Azad
July 15, 2002
The Iranian

In this photo essay, I am trying to convey humans' four basic existential concerns: death, freedom, isolation and meaninglessness. And because I believe our inner child is the guardian of our emotional warehouse, I have attempted to communicate these ultimate concerns through the eyes of a universal inner child represented by a naked doll.

I am a sociologist and a practicing psychotherapist. I Live on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
