Cover story  Write for The Iranian Remember? That was me, that was you, that was us December 27, 1999 The Iranian When I saw these pictures at a friend's house last week, I thought of all the incredible things that have happened to us, our families and our people in the 20th century. The oldest photo here might be 60-70 years old. But they all seem like ancient history. Where were we then and where are we now? I guess what matters most is where we are heading. But that doesn't make these pictures any less fascinating.
